Centre bottom of this pic are two small Courgette plants. That bit of ground isn't in the first pic. Up from the Courgettes is a row of radishes. They can faintly be seen at the very bottom of the first pic as a line of tiny seedlings. I've eaten most of them now. The life of a Radish is short and fruitful.

I never realised you were a gardening sort of bloke. We have something in common, although I must say that my veggie patch at the moment looks more like your top one. Anything that comes up in it is immediate fodder for the wildlife - mainly of the slimy sort. I've got some delicious strawberries though - well, the bits that haven't been eaten.
